New York, NY—On the evening of January 31st, in the elegant sophistication of New York’s Gotham Hall, two dozen internationally recognized designers displayed their latest creations to a waiting high-powered audience at the Earth Pledge eco-fashion show Future Fashion before the official opening of New York Fashion Week. With fabric sponsored by EnviroTextiles, designers like Donatella Versace, Behnaz Sarafour, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan, Isabel Toledo, and Calvin Klein wove their magic with everything from
Hemp/Organic Cotton Jersey Knits to
Hemp Silk/Charmeuse.
“We see 2008 as a breakthrough year for hemp fashion thanks to more than a decade of hard work,” says Summer Star Haeske, Sales Manager for EnviroTextiles, LLC. “With elegant fabrics like the shiny Hemp Silk Shiny Charmeuse, one of my favorites; has been one of the hits for top couture designers. Proving you don’t have to sacrifice anything when it comes to style and going green.”
