Corporate Social Responsibility is an essential part of our business model. These agave fiber products are part of “Project Protect Our Mother Earth“, our fair trade project in Mexico. When you purchase these handmade Agave Fiber products, you are helping support 115+ women/families and provide in-school lunch programs, recycle programs and now a local clinic.

We initiated a recycling project that helps to support the in-school lunch program for other villages in the area. We are utilizing the natural and human resources in this Mexican community to create sustainable sources of revenue and sustainable products, while honoring their traditions.

These great natural fiber products serve a variety of uses in and around the home, and they are completely 100% biodegradable/compostable.

Agave Brush details for Dry Skin Brushing

We are happy to introduce a new product line in our Agave community collection.

Dry skin brushing unclogs pores in the exfoliation process. It also helps detoxify your skin by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow/drainage. An additional benefit of stimulating your nervous system. It can also leave you feeling invigorated, like a massage often does. Removing dead skin cells can help make your skin smoother and softer. It can also give your skin a brighter appearance.

Agave Dry Skin Brushes are made from 2 types of the Agave plants to offer both a soft and hard bristle version for the skin.

The wood used is reclaimed from the ground in the surrounding mountains.

  1. Start at your feet and move up your body.
  2. Brush your skin using wide, circular, clockwise motions.
  3. Use light pressure in areas where your skin is thin and harder pressure on thicker skin, like the soles of your feet.
  4. Brush your arms after you have brushed your feet, legs, and mid-section. You should brush upward towards your armpits.
  5. After dry brushing, take a cool shower to help remove the dry skin.
  6. After your shower, dry off and then consider adding natural plant oil.

When you first start dry brushing, it’s best to begin with light brushing. As you get used to it, you can increase the pressure. Also, never brush an area affected by poison oak, poison ivy, or psoriasis. Don’t dry brush your face unless you’re using a softer brush made for that purpose.

Our Bolsas Bags are dyed in the springtime, as local roots, flowers and berries are harvested and utilized in the "vegetal" hand dying process.

Availability and colors will vary season to season.

Each and every company & person supporting these products are playing an important roll, to keep ancient traditions with purely natural plant products alive! Since we started this (CSR) program over 18 years ago, the majority of the young people who had left the village to find work, have now come back knowing they can have a "way of life" honoring their heritage, and cultural traditions.
